ST. MARTHA'S PRAYER CIRCLE

Prayer is the encouragement and praise in every Episcopal Church.  At St. Martha’s we would like to support our parish community with the connecting bonds of a community prayer circle, fashioned like a telephone chain.

In a time of special need, we are here for you.  This prayer circle exists to help you, to encourage you.  Intercessory prayer can be “visual prayer.”  Holding up the name of someone who needs the healing comfort of God, visualize them being wrapped in a warm comforter.  If you would like to feel covered by the compassion of God’s love through your friends and fellow parishioners at St. Martha’s, please call one of us.  We will listen to your call for help, and all in the circle will individually petition that you be surrounded with the warmth of God’s love and care during your time of need.

The prayer circle is for immediate times of need or concern, and functions “over and above” the Prayers of the People, Sunday service prayer, and other parish prayer lists.  We are a supplement if those are not timely enough to meet your needs.  We can pray during an operation, or immediately after an accident…our circle is flexible to your needs.

For intercessory prayer, please call any one person within the prayer circle.  That person will be the initial contact person or initiator for your new prayer request, and will pass on the information to all the prayer circle.  We are:
